Term 1 - Week 8

We have all been very excited about Easter this week with lots of Easter writing, maths and art happening. Here are some of the things we have been doing:
Ellebethel made this awesome bunny picture. There are lots more on the wall in our class if you want to come and take a look.
Cash has been solving number problems all about Easter eggs. He had 8 eggs in his basket and none fell out.
Liam had 8 eggs and 1 fell out. What would his number sentence be?
The making area has been popular as ever and I am sure your children have brought home some wonderful creations. Don't forget to bring home empty boxes, containers etc to replenish our supplies. Skills like cutting and gluing are very important to help develop fine motor skills.

This week we had our second visit to the Life Education Bus this week which was awesome. Ingrid taught us all about bucket filling (in class we fill ketes). There are lots of photos which will be added to the blog next week as they are on the ipad still at school.

On Thursday Room 8 were lucky enough to have an Easter Egg hunt organised by some seniors at school. They planned the whole thing and spent a lot of time organising it all. Here they are explaining to us how the hunt will work:
We also got to vote in Nayland Primary's very own flag referendum but the results aren't in yet. Perhaps we'll find out how the school voted on Wednesday.
